I always try to have a few toys around where there aren’t very many details.
The idea is that children will fill in the blanks, and that information can be incredibly useful.
It’s important to not judge what details are filled in, and to also pay close attention to what is happening. Again, so much of using toys in the treatment of children is to learn from what they do, since their emotional vocabulary may not yet be developed.
These are figure drawing dolls but the same idea applies any toy.
