New Series: Outpatient Child Psychiatry

I'm going to spend the next several posts on what it's like to start care with an outpatient child psychiatrist.

Currently I'm debating on whether to include a child psychiatry specific hospitalization series. Please feel free to comment if you think that would be helpful.

My goal with this upcoming series is to focus on adding child-specific information about outpatient psychiatry. Much of the structure of child psychiatric appointments was built around what was first established for adult patients. However, there are common changes to accommodate pediatric patients that are worth discussing separately.


Additionally, additional precautions are often taken for pediatric patients.
